Modern Kopitiam Luckin Kopi at Petaling Street

by - October 19, 2019

Luckin Kopi is an all dining cafe located in Petaling Stree, it gives you a nostalgic cozy feeling as you enter, it's like we've traveled back in time for a homely meal. While you're here for the food do not forget to drop by a superb Instagram worth spot 鬼仔巷 Kwai Chai Hong which is accessible from the cafe's back door.

This modern Kopitiam themed, two-story café comes with a beautiful interior inspired by nature and it is filled with rustic touches, there's also a large air well opening in the middle filled with wild flowers, plants and a beautiful aquarium which makes it quite a spot for photos. A florist will also be opening up on the 2nd floor and I can't wait to visit again when it's running.

Luckin Kopi menu is a mixture of local cuisines such as good old Kaya Butter Toast, Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam and Western cuisine with a twist like Petai Pasta, Salted Egg Chicken Chop, Cheesy Chicken Fried and many more. Ohh if you're a coffee lover, don't forget to order their signature Luckin Kopi Kaw, this traditional old school coffee is more aromatic than your usual gourmet ones and it gives you the extra kick!

Luckin Toast RM12.90
A staple breakfast I enjoy is Hainan toast serve with half-boiled eggs and a cup of coffee, sounds simple but it's simply the best! Luckin Kopi serves its Toast with four different dipping - kaya, butter, peanut butter, and Nutella.

Chee Cheong Fun RM5
Simple and yet so good, soft, chewy rice rolls with sweet gravy, a hint of chili sauce and sesame seeds is just the way I like it.

Nasi Lemak / Indo Mee RM5.90
This Nasi Lemak and Mee Siam have gone beyond my expectations all because of its Sambal, it's spicy enough for my liking and it brings everything together.

Hainanese Chicken Chop RM16.90
The chicken chop was juicy, tender and chewy paired with a very light seasoning of Hainanese sauce.

Geng Chow Chicken Buns RM12.90
I was just in love with these hot fluffy buns filled with chicken fillet. You can also opt for Geng Chow Buns with Sambal Petai or Rendang.

Salted Egg Chicken Rice RM11.90
Runny egg over a warm bowl of rice topped with thick salted egg sauce chicken cutlets makes a simple delicious meal.

Cheesy Chicken & Fries RM26.90
I'm a big fan of cheese and if you are one do order this sinfully delicious, expect fried chicken with fries covered with a generous amount of cheese!

Petai Pasta RM20.90
Another dish I highly recommend, once again the highlight of this dish was awesome, spicy sambal petai with chicken cutlets and pasta what's not to love about this right?

The first time here and I'm satisfied with Luckin Kopi, it has a nice ambiance and decor. Most importantly was the delicious food that does most of the talking.
