Procedure

The entire process took about 45minutes, prior to the treatment session, a therapist will cleanse my face making sure it's clean, a numbing cream will be applied to reduce the uncomfortable moment, after 30minutes, the injection takes place, ice will be place before each injection to make it more comfortable. 

 

Was it painful?

Fortunately for me, it was mild but the discomfort level varies based on your pain threshold, for me I would rate this 2/10, it just felt like tiny pricks hence it was bearable pain, besides that, Dr Edmund uses a smaller needle & numb the area with ice before each injection so the pain was minimize. 

 

How long is the downtime?

There is a downtime of a few hours, slight redness and small bumps are raise on the injection sides but eventually it will subside in just a few hours. Thankfully Prof Dr Edmund was very careful avoiding my thin veins there were no bruises and it did not affected me. 

 

Results

I've gone through a treatment of 3 months now, I got to say I'm loving it, the results were astounding! Here's my before-and-after pictures, placed side by side for comparison, my pores were noticeably smaller than before and my skin looks so dewy and refreshed, it's now constantly glowing, and I'm just addicted to it! In addition, I happen to burn my forehand a month ago before the treatment and it took so long for my skin to recover but with the help of PLINEST® it has helped lighten the pigment and it’s now completely recovered.

PLINEST® was definitely worth it, as long as you get a skilled doctor, the results will wow you! What is Pico Laser? 

Pico Laser is a non-invasive and non-surgical laser treatment of skin focusing only on the problem area and without damaging or hurting any other part of the skin. It's perfect for treating pigments, melasma, and freckles. Pico Laser uses ultra-short pulses of energy that are emitted focusing on the problem area. These ultra-short pulses breakdown the pigments under the skin, collagen production starts and it helps to rejuvenate the skin. 

Procedure 

Each treatment takes around 45minutes, this is a great lunchtime procedure because there will be no downtime after the laser. The first step was cleansing of the skin, next a layer of exfoliator was applied before we started our pain-free Pico laser, no numb cream is given, and to be honest, I don't feel the pain at all, the sound of the laser might be intimidating but once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. Finally, each treatment is ended with a 15 minutes mask time.

How to care for your skin after Pico Laser? 

Sun protection is a must, choose one that has at least SPF 15 and I reapply mine throughout the day with a powdered SPF. Besides that, I also use Monette Ansley Clinic Hydrating Serum, the serum is super concentrated, only a drop is needed for my entire face, the effect is super moisturizing which is perfect for my skin after the laser treatment. 

Results 

I would say the results are highly effective for a 3 months visit, in total I had 6 treatments done, twice a month. My before and after picture will do the talking better than my words, just zoom in and you can do your judgment. 

A lot of pigments were removed during the treatment with no side effects and the entire treatment was pain-free. I feel so confident with my bare skin now I hardly put on any makeup if it's not needed.

Hi loves, I'm back with another aesthetic post, and this time I've just tried out Clatuu aka Cryolipolysis at Dr. Chong Clinic in TTDI with Dr Jo Ey. 

I have a lot of stubborn fats & flab in my tummy area, even before I got pregnant. I needed a little helping hand with those stubborn little fatty pockets that just wouldn’t budge! My flabby arms have been around with me for as long as I can remember and I hate them, I used to be quite plump/fat but I started to go on a diet to reduce my weight and I did lost weight but what I did not achieve is the fat deposits on my arms when Clatuu was introduced to me I was totally hooked by the idea. 

What is CLATUU?

Clatuu is a non-invasive, advanced technology that uses extreme cooling method to kill off our fat cells. Our fat cells are exposed to a cold temperatures at -9 °C, the fats will be forced into programmed cell death (apoptosis) and then being removed from the body over 2-3 months without affecting the surrounding skin, tissues and muscles. 

Which is why Clatuu is a great procedure to opt for you if you a specific stubborn area you'll like to sculpt for instance your love handles, muffin top, inner or outer thighs, and flabby arms. 

How is it done?

Before the procedure, my measurements were taken and the area will be cleaned properly next a cool gel sheet that protects my skin from frostbite is placed on my arms before the handpiece is applied onto the treatment area with suction force applied. The targeted fats will be sucked into the handpiece and the cooling process begins for an hour. 

My experience

I'm so glad the treatment was painless, I only felt a slight pinch for the first minute when the machine starts sucking the fat other than that no pain at all. After the treatment, my skin was flaring red, I had to hide my arms for a week, I didn't feel pain after the procedure but I felt the numbing and tender of the area for a few days. I was given some painkillers but I didn't have to consume them because I didn't feel any pain.

PRP facial is very popular over the past few years and I've been frequently doing it because I love the effect it gives my skin, this round I was invited to Laco Clinic in Puchong to try out their PRP with Derma Shine Treatment.



What makes them different is how the procedure is done, usually, needles are used so if you've got a needle phobia, PRP is basically not a good choice of option for you. To reduce the patient's discomfort Laco clinic uses an auto-injecting device - INTROFILL as it injects the PRP directly into the skin the process of the needling itself stimulates collagen by promoting wound healing.



What is PRP with Derma Shine Treatment?
As you all know Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from our blood after it has been processed by spinning in a centrifuge to remove the red cells since this is created from your very own blood, there will be no rejection from your body and Derma Shine is basically Hyaluronic Acid. How long did it take? 
The procedure took around an hour and a half, most of the time spent was prepping my skin, making sure it's clean before we started the treatment and waiting for the anesthetic cream to numb the face before injections were done by Dr. Jacqueline.




How does it feel?
Since the face is numb, you would not feel any pain but as the Dr injects you will feel the tingling of the needles entering the skin and expect some redness immediately, by the time I got home the redness has subsided.

Aftercare
As usual, after any kind of treatment it is important to take care of our skin, no facials for a first 2 weeks, maintain moisture by using lots of masks and always have your sunscreen with you, I reapply mine every 3-4 hours because my work require me to travel a lot and be outdoors.


Results
Heres my before and after, the redness has subsided slowly, my skin is sensitive so it took a little bit longer but it is now brighter, and my dark eye circle has reduced as well, over time as our skin cells will turn over the results will be more apparent.
