Ever wonder where the paper from the tissues or cosmetic cotton comes from?

In the past I've heard horror stories about companies that use the recycled pulp for these products and how they affect the skin of the users, sometimes causing skin allergies. They can contain heavy metals like mercury which is harmful to the human body in the long run. So it’s good to do a bit of research into the brands we use daily.

This is why I chose Carina for my home, being a reputable brand, I have a piece of mind knowing that they use zero recycling components, it uses 100% virgin pulp & cotton for their products and it's gentle on the skin.

Carina was founded in 2009 and is Malaysia’s first tissue manufacturer that was able to fulfill Malaysia’s tissue needs and demands. The most important feature is that Carina uses 100% virgin pulp and virgin cotton for their products. This is much more hygienic compared to the recycled pulp. It’s great for sensitive skin as it is mild and gentle on the skin.

I know what you’re thinking, since it’s 100% virgin pulp it’s gotta be expensive right? Well, Carina’s factories are based in Klang Valley, making their tissues local and affordable compared to many other brands. So you get high and good quality products at great affordable prices.

In the year 2023, Carina launched the "We Care, We Love" campaign to promote hygiene awareness, create a healthy environment, and reduce pollution with the mindfulness of caring for our skin by providing us 100% natural pure cotton that is skin-friendly! Let's support our local production to boost economic recovery after the pandemic because Carina is specialized to fit the needs and wants of Southeast Asian people.

Let me introduce the 4 series of Carina products

Beauty Care

Carina Dry Tissue series is produced from 100% PURE VIRGIN PULP to ensure its hygiene, making it gentle and safe to use on skin, including sensitive skin areas and Cotton Series that made from 100% PURE COTTON which is suitable for beauty usage as it is hypoallergenic and would not cause skin irritation as our cotton is a pure natural material.

I love how it comes in all sorts of sizes, from big to small, making it easy for you to carry them with you whenever you need them.

Toiletries Care

Carina takes care of our toiletries as well, you'll enjoy their 3-ply facial cotton, cotton buds, that are sturdy and yet soft to use at the same time.

Kitchenware

Carina also has Kitchen Tissue series to help us out in the kitchen, these kitchen towels will help keep the surface and appliances clean, shiny, and scratch-free. It helps clean the kitchen counters and appliances and scrub off fluid spills.

What's your pillow preference? I love to have mine large and firm which promises to keep me cool and sweat free no thanks to the hot & heaty weather in Malaysia but ever since securing this pillow, every night in my bed has felt like a dream, sometimes I just don't want to leave my bed :/ if you know what I mean!

Have you heard of Origin Mattress? It is one of the well-known brands in Malaysia when it comes to the mattress-in-a-box market. Their mattress is the signature product but to my surprise they also sell pillows and I just couldn't resist trying it out for myself, ordered Origin Superior Coolmax Latex Pillow it is made out of 2 essential materials - Natural Latex & Tencel Fabric Pillow Cover.

What makes these materials special?

Natural Latex has multiple benefits such as being hypoallergenic and impression resistant, meaning it is able to keep its shape for many years. Not to mention a latex pillow molds to the shape of our heads, giving them the ultimate support. There’s also cooling gel infused into the pillow, making it the perfect pillow for our hot and humid climate.

Tencel Fabric Pillow Cover which is removable. Tencel fabric is known for its durability and softness. It is also hypoallergenic so it’s great for those who have sensitive skin and dust allergies.

Other than the comfort features, Origin Superior Coolmax Latex Pillow also comes with 7-Day Free Return and 2 Years Warranty as a guarantee for their customers.

Thanks to this pillow, I can easily fall asleep and dream, I got to say it's such an awesome pillow. It’s so comfortable and I didn’t wake up with a neck ache because it adequately supported my neck. It is luxurious to the touch, it’s like squishing a cloud.

This made a perfect gift to my loved one too. We spend 8 hours in bed after all and like a mattress, a pillow is just as important. Have you heard about it yet?

Being a big fan of Tanamera, I'm so excited to try out Tanamera’s new Waterless Diffuser is one little machine that packs a powerful punch and rose above the rest, it uses an atomizer that creates super fine particles of essential oils that can be distributed through the air. It takes water and heat out of the equation, while its convenient size offers ideal coverage for your office, bedrooms and other small spaces. Simply bring it with you during your travels, it’ll be your best companion and what you’ll get will be pure essential oil aroma surrounding you!

Here are the top 4 reasons I love Tanamera Waterless Diffuser

#1 Diffuses straight from the oil bottle

Tanamera uses technology to preserve the therapeutic properties within the essential oil as it is diffused into the air, resulting in a much stronger scent than you’ll get from most diffusers. This really makes life easier.

#2 No water or heating is required

Super easy to operate, there's no need to clean the water tank! It uses innovative high-frequency vibrating atomization instead of air nozzles, with no heat, cold mist, no water, and very low noise. I am reaping the benefits of high-fidelity aromatherapy in a healthy, convenient, and quiet way and very safe around children & pets!

#3 Cordless & rechargeable

The Tanamera Waterless Diffuser is portable design, packed with built-in lithium battery and works up to 80 hours’ max time standby. A simple charge with USB will last you for hours, thus making the diffuser very mobile. I literally can bring it along wherever I go!

#4 Get 100% pure essential oils

Specifications of Tanamera Waterless Diffuser

This diffuser will diffuse the essential oils in 3 speed mist

1st speed: 15s atomization

2nd speed: 30s atomization

3rd speed: 60s atomization

There will be a 180s interval between each atomization.

The diffuser could work continuously for 2 hours before shutting off automatically. If you want it to keep running, switch it on it manually after two hours.

Overall this is a great device to own and I'm glad I've gotten my hands on it! Definitely no regrets, gives me a piece of mind, not much cleaning is needed, it's easy to prepare and even easier to carry around with me whereever I go!

Getting quality sleep is incredibly important for your health, it helps keep your mind and body healthy. If you've had your mattress for several years and you're wondering why your back hurts when you wake up then it's probably time for a new mattress.

Over the years, I struggled with waking up with backache and stiff neck yet it never occurred to me that it was the mattress causing all of this pain but once I've made the switch from a spring mattress to an Emma Sleep cooling memory foam mattress, everything changed!

Now, I get to sleep well, on a comfortable and affordable Emma mattress.

What did I like about The Emma Original Mattress?

I love the design, the premium quality, and the softness of the material, it was a really great buy and great value for money, a normal King Size bed would have easily cost me 5k and above with Emma Sleep I could easily afford a King Size bed at a fraction of the price.

One of the best things about Emma Sleep is we are able to purchase it online at Emma-Sleep.com.my and have it delivered to your doorstep, the delivery man was kind enough to move it up to my master bedroom.

Unboxing was absolutely fun as well, the mattress is vacuum seal, once the packaging was removed I watched the mattress come to life like magic, the girls were so excited as they jumped on it for the first time!

Emma Sleep comes with an amazing 100 days trial, if you are not satisfied by the 100th day, you can return it for a full refund. Why not right? I understand the hassle of getting the wrong mattress, I did that once and totally regretted my actions and there's no refund given and I'm stuck with it, in the end I just gave it away :(

Is it worth it?

Oh yes! The Emma Original Mattress is  known for it’s maximum comfort using German Technology with innovative Airgocell® that helps regulates temperature, it also reduce allergens effectively which is perfect for ezcema patients like me, I need my bed to be as clean as possible.

Hi loves, what have you been up to recently? I hope everyone is feeling good, despite having the covid-19 attacking us worldwide and being quarantined at home under the movement control order in Malaysia, I've been making use of my extra time to redecorate my home. My bedroom is one of the most important space at home because my family I and spend most of our time there, it's a spot that gives us comfort and joy, cozy up during those gloomy days, and obviously a place to crash after a long day and recharge.

My latest edition to my bedding is these two new Getha pillows. Getha is a Malaysian Brand with 50 years of manufacturing experience of natural latex foam mattresses and bedding products in Malaysia. I am so happy to be supporting a local brand because when you buy from a local business you’re helping to save the planet by lowering your carbon footprint and of course supporting the community!

Getha has a vast collection of natural pillows for all body and sleeping types since there's no one size fits all pillow. Their series varies from Classic Pillow Series, Functionality Pillow Series, Bolster Series, Neck Pillow, Snow Bean, and even Travel size pillows that you can benefit from when you're not at home.

So what made me change to a latex pillow instead? The idea was pretty simple, 100% natural latex bedding products are antibacterial, hypoallergenic and EMF free, besides that, it also maintains the ideal balance between softness, comfort, firmness, and support, these pillows hold its shape for many years while giving you the right level of sleep support.

My husband has a lot of neck discomfort from sleeping on regular pillows, it has been ages since I've been convincing him to change his pillows but knowing how stubborn men can get, I secretly switched his to Getha 100% Natural Latex Windy 360 Pillow from the Classic Pillow Series and I've noticed his complaining less about neck discomfort, the pillow was a perfect fit for him, with dual density option of soft & firm, this pillow fits seamlessly the curve between the shoulders and the neck that gives him the support he needs all through the night.

As for myself, I love my pillows to be on the sturdy side, I got myself the Getha 100% Natural Latex Beauty Pillow from the Functionality Pillow Series, it gives me the beauty sleep that I've always wanted, it uses the Milk Technology that gives me the soft-touch milk protein fiber cover smoother your skin and reduces wrinkles as it doesn’t create friction when your skin encounters the surface of the pillow, the Honey Comb Air hole technique, ventilates air and disperses heat away from my body throughout my sleep.

These pillows from Getha are super comfortable and well made with 100% pure natural, high-quality latex. I know I can rely on them for years to come. If you know the importance of making the right choice so that we can get a good night's sleep that'll eventually contribute to our overall health and wellness I definitely suggest you have a try with the Getha ones, I’m sure you’ll find a perfect match among their huge collection and if you're purchasing it now you'll be receiving free sanitizers and delivery as well, visit https://bit.ly/GethaOnline now and have fun shopping online.

Have you ever had that feeling of complete utter fatigue after a tense day at work or running errands? As much as I would love to drop by the spa or the message center, however, it is rather difficult to schedule things last minute plus I couldn't afford to go for a massage that often which is why I think it's a good idea to invest in a massage chair at home instead because nothing feels better than a heated back massage.

Recently discover the Ogawa Master Drive Plus. This massage chair is well made with details, it comes with ambient side lighting to help create the right atmosphere and mood, ultimate M-Drive Navigator paired with all new 7-inch touch screen display, this massage chair has elevated the dimensions of massage experience in the home wellness industry. It is also powered by the brand new high-performance M.5 Gen™ microprocessor and is equipped with 4D thermal roller.

A control panel on the front of the chair has a screen that shows the position of the rollers on the body. It also displays the strength, speed, intensity, and length of massage, so it’s easy to change your options directly or via the remote control.

That's not it, to ease the user, Ogawa Master Drive Plus has 23 pre-programmed massage sessions to alleviate stress symptoms, improve blood circulation, loosen tense muscles and indulge in more relaxation than ever before or have the choice to choose up to 500 personalized massage combination.

Did I mention its refined look that makes it pleasing to look at and it fits into my living room perfectly! The seating angle and position is really comfortable too and what's so pleasing is it can replicate an experts massage, starting from the back, neck, and shoulders to feet, calves, and hands, multi-directional 3D massage rollers convey unwinding concentrated and warmth pressure.

I really enjoy how I am able to choose which part I would like to focus on and the rollers reached all the sore points on my back, it feels just like a real pair of hands is working on me, I also like all my massages heated because it felt more comfortable that way and here's trick for a better head and neck massage, remember to flip up the headrest so the rollers can reach the sore points.

Ogawa Master Drive Plus has helped me achieve therapeutic muscle relaxation and increased blood flow throughout my body to promote good health. I could sleep better at night after my massage, it may be a splurge but definitely something worth purchasing it.
Available in Fox Red, Espresso and Graphite, Ogawa Master Drive Plus is now available at all OGAWA stores nationwide. For further information and to keep up to date with OGAWA World Bhd visit their website, official Facebook or Instagram

A kitchen is the heart of a home, whether big or small, the kitchen is the hub of the home. It is where the meals are created to fuels the bodies, minds, and soul of family and friends.

The kitchen was designed for preparing and cooking meals. However, these days the kitchen has slowly morphed into the epicenter of the home. Gone are the days where the kitchen was a small dreary room hidden away from sight. Nowadays, homeowners are embracing open plan spaces, where the age-old rules and roles of separate living room, dining room, and kitchen are constantly being rewritten. As a matter of fact, in most modern homes the kitchen wears many hats. It is where we cook; where we eat; where children do homework; where you have a cup of tea or coffee while bantering with friends; where you share a glass of wine with your partner; where countless good times are shared over good food – it is where everyday life is lived.

Imagine that there is a house for sale in Seremban, and you find that the kitchen is not to your taste, or even worse, completely bare. So, you decide to remodel the kitchen. You might find yourself at a loss when faced with the hundreds of choices available in terms of interior design and décor – you might not even be sure of the fine details associated with each design style. Whether designing a new kitchen from scratch or upgrading an existing kitchen, we all tend to face hurdles when figuring out design ideas we would like to commit to. In today’s guide, we have compiled a number of design styles to help guide and direct your eye.

Modern and Minimalist

The definition of “modern” may vary according to different people, however, all modern kitchens have the same signature style that celebrates structure and grid – think sleek, simple, sophisticated. Think about strong horizontal lines, reflective surfaces, frameless cabinets, fuss-free hardware, industrial elements and the bare essentials. Modern kitchens tend to be clutter-free and minimalistic, with everything kept behind closed cabinets (or doors). The lack of ornamentation will help let the beauty of the design and natural materials shine through. Colour palettes tend to skew towards neutral colors such as white, black or grey. However, you can also introduce strategic pops of color and eclectic accents to put your own spin on the design. Certain splurges such as marble countertops and elegant lighting can give the modern kitchen an extra, luxurious touch.

Traditional and Ornate

Traditional kitchens are defined by classic design elements and an attention to detail. Think of Old World charm when it comes to the design. Architectural details that are formal and ornate – such as arches, beam ceilings, decorative moldings, and corbels – are the key features. Traditional kitchens are full of embellishment and adornment everywhere you look. For example, you will see raised-panel doors, decorative carvings on cabinets and furniture, glazed and antique finishes – in other words, the direct opposite of minimal. Cabinetry tends to be framed, with flushed inset, raised panels, and even exposed hinges. All these decorative elements serve to add visual interest as well as depth and perspective. However, be sure to keep the decorative details layered and well thought out, otherwise, it might get a bit overwhelming.

Country Farmhouse

The defining signatures of a country kitchen are open and inviting spaces. There is a focus on natural materials and good, steady craftsmanship. In terms of design features, think of open shelving, wide and deep sinks, freestanding cabinetry, and don’t forget the most important feature of all – a large kitchen table. A fireplace expounds upon the idea of the kitchen hearth. Although it seems a bit odd in Malaysia, it can add an authentic touch to your country kitchen. It can be purely decorative if it cannot be functional. In terms of décor in a country or farmhouse kitchen, the focuses are on on eclectic finishes and mixing-rather-than-matching furniture based on warm primary colors and aged hues. All this helps to help create a spacious, warm, comfortable and lived-in feel that will let you and your guests enjoy the feeling of a countryside getaway – even if you’re located in the midst of suburbia.

Rustic and Rugged

There is a certain warmth and charm to a rustic kitchen that many will appreciate. Keep the focus on the rough – wooden décor, worn features, and rugged functionality. The rustic look will be dominated by materials such as timber beams, stone walls, slate floors, brick architectural features, bronze or brass finishes, and worn distressed carpentry. Furniture with warm hues made of elements that show their age will give your rustic kitchen an extra touch. Currently, in the interior design market, reclaimed wood is making a huge comeback, especially for use as tabletops or countertops. Remember that you almost cannot have too much wood in a rustic kitchen. They may not be conventional, but rustic kitchens are certainly capable of rivaling even the most classic and traditional kitchens in terms of popularity.

Classic and Flexible

Classic kitchens tend to be timeless, yet still flexible. If you are at a loss when it comes to defining your style, and are afraid of having too much style, a classic kitchen is just for you. Stick to more timeless details such as white or cream cabinetry. Keep architectural details simple and fuss-free. Countertops usually are either black or white and can be made of natural material such as granite and marble, or made of cast material such as quartz. Stick to something with a neutral design style – not too modern and not too ornate. Think of your classic kitchen as a chameleon: you can keep the bare bones of the kitchen neutral and simple (that’s the base), and still be able to change the look by mixing in other tangible elements such as more traditional furniture or even modern light fixtures (that’s the accents). You get the idea – a classic kitchen is one that can adapt well to any style of furnishing that you throw at it.

Transitional and In-between

Transitional kitchens are for the in-betweeners. If you don’t want to confine yourself to a definite style, or your taste spans two, a transitional kitchen may just be the perfect choice for you. Think of it as the moderator, where you can blend the warmth and welcome of traditional design without the ostentatiousness together with the clean and simple lines of modern minimalism without it looking too industrial and clinical. Try interpreting traditional details in a more contemporary way, or vice versa. Look for crisp streamlined cabinetry made from more traditional materials. Natural surfaces – such as granite or marble – are also a good way to balance two different design styles at opposing ends of the spectrum. Remember that any feature or design can be well-suited to translational design ideas as long as it is versatile.

Eclectic and Rebellious

Tired of sticking to strict rules of interior design? Throw all those predetermined notions of design out the window and mix and match as you please. If you are a rebel with a cause and refuse to be pigeonholed, go for an eclectic design style that will surely showcase your out-of-the-box personality. However, proceed with caution as eclectic done wrong can look like a chaotic mess and mod podge that makes no sense whatsoever. If eclectic is the look you are going for, try to make it look like your kitchen has been collected over time. Even though this may be one of the hardest design styles to achieve, eclectic if done right oozes a sense of effortlessness and confidence.
