Learning Tree Academy @ Bangsar Village II

by - April 15, 2019

Do you believe children can learn through play? Engaging our children in a variety of lively, enriching activities allows them to explore possible talents and passions, through these classes, your child will learn to love dance, art, or technology. Additionally, activity or subject that your child enjoys may get them excited for learning in general.

Learning Tree Academy is a Preschool and Child Enrichment Centre in Bangsar Village II, the center is spacious, brightly lit and has laminated flooring to provide a clean and pleasant space for the children as well as a friendly atmosphere by the professionally trained teachers. For hygiene purposes, before our children enter the premises they are asked to remove their shoes and sanitize their hands.

The center consists of six exclusively designed rooms and programmes that will benefit your children. The programmes are Budding Tree, S.T.E.A.M The Space Room, Entrepreneur's Nook, Gamers' Think Tank, Foodtastic, and Explosive Literacy.

Miya's been taking classes for a month now, we visit the center every week, I would love to post our pictures here but it'll be too spammy so go check out her weekly visit on my facebook page here https://bit.ly/2UB1eHi to see how much fun she had :)

Now let us start with the preschool programme - Budding Tree

Budding Tree is a preschool program suitable for children aged 1-5 years old to have fun learning with numbers and alphabets. The programme is open for full-timers as well as walk-ins, for full-timers, they will follow a syllabus prepared by Learning Tree Academy. As a parent, I really like the idea they accept walk-ins for guided play time. This is just perfect for those days we need to run an errand, we know our children are in safe hands.

S.T.E.A.M The Space Room uses STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) to appeal to your child's natural curiosity and to provide them with critical thinking used in everyday solutions for the real-world problem. One of the experiments she did recently was to explore, Oobleck, a non-newtonian fluid. Oobleck can feel like a solid when you hold it in a ball, but it becomes liquidy when you let your hand go loose. She had so much fun she wanted to replicate the entire project at home 😂

Want a space for your children to explore and discover their creative talents from theatre to dance, from script writing, acting, directing to movie editing let your children join the Entrepreneur's Nook.

Younger children like Miya can learn about expressions, actions, roleplay, dance and the retelling of popular stories while older children can begin their own creative moviemaking journey by learning professional movie editing skills. Check out Miya's short story here, she's playing batgirl that saves the baby.

Gamers' Think Tank is the place where your children will be taught to use logical thinking skills and competitive strategies as they develop and modify their own video games. Check out the computer operated LEGO models the older students did during their class.

Younger children like Miya will be introduced to scientific thinking as they build Lego models. Miya built a story of animals in the winter wonderland.

Foodtastic is one of Miya's favorite room, this cooking class sets places in a fully equipped kitchen at the center to help our children to develop practical skills in cooking and food preparation. During her first lesson, she made Chocolate Lava Mug Cake.

Before cooking/booking, Miya started out learning the types of ingredients and utensil in the kitchen, learned how to be patient by following the steps in a recipe and finish off by cleaning up and putting things back where they belong after the task is done.

Storytelling is a great skill to teach your children, it helps improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs their imagination. Explosive Literacy teaches your children languages and the art of storytelling, your children will learn to retell stories - both pictorial and in words. For younger children they will explore the fun of reading with hands-on activities, during Miya's session, she read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and learned about the foods that a caterpillar eats. Overall a very engaging session and she couldn't stop telling me right afterward.

Miya loves whenever I send her to Learning Tree Academy and we do it at least once a week, she enjoys meeting her friends and learning with her favorite teacher, teacher Caroline. Personally, I like the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful learning methods used here, she has benefited from learning through play and is able to socialize better. If you would like more information about Learning Tree Academy you can set up a tour so drop by for a visit because I believe you will love it like how we do.
